Need a check-in, advice on a big decision, a phone call? Pick my brain. Let’s figure out what
Guidance on anything and everything from pre-production, post-production, distribution and marketing. I’ve worn many hats behind the camera and can give advice based on my own experiences moving a film through to theatrical and video on demand distribution.
Writer’s block? Stuck and unsure how to move forward to a new draft with a big deadline looming? I’ll read through script (short, feature, and/or webseries!) in detail and provide written feedback on what’s working, where and how to improve, and suggestions moving forward. We can work together on things beyond script coverage, such as applications to labs, grants, and more.
I’ve participated and moderated panels at film festivals, I’ve been a guest expert speaker for NYWIFT’s From Script to Pre-Production, Film Fatales, Cinefemme on making your first feature film, and more.
I’ve produced and directed films that have screened around the world at a wide variety of festivals: Oscar-qualifying, regional, niche festivals for female filmmakers, erotic festivals, arthouse, horror, and more. And I’m also the 2018 Art of Brooklyn Guest Director, which gives me a unique perspective on submitting to festivals and what stands out to programmers and festival directors. I’ll craft a year-long festival strategy specific to your film, suggested festivals to apply to, and templates and advice on reaching out to programmers, and more.
I had a blast working with Victoria on the festival strategy for my first feature film. Not only she is very knowledgeable, incredibly resourceful, and great at devising clear and effective strategy, she is also the biggest cheerleader of the filmmakers she works with.
I cannot recommend Victoria's services highly enough. I hope I will always get to work with her, not only for her invaluable contributions to my own projects, but because she is so talented and so capable as an artist and a producer that I always want to be part of her ever-growing success.
Victoria and I had an empowering conversation about various pathways in which to approach casting, community and audience building, managing distribution and the festival circuit. I continue to be impressed Victoria's network, knowledge and 'can-do' attitude towards any film project.
